Introduction

Nature Spin is an eco-friendly laundry product company that needed help introducing a new product. I designed a responsive landing page as a proposal and test for potential future collaboration with the goal of aligning the brand’s visual identity with modern eco-conscious consumers.

The Challenge

Create a responsive landing page that distills the essence of Nature Spin and elevates the visual direction of their brand beyond their existing packaging. Constraints included tight timing, limited brand assets, and a need to communicate eco-friendly values while appealing to mainstream consumers familiar with big-box commercial brands.

Research & Descovery

To inform design decisions, I conducted market research focused on two areas.

Household Laundry Brands

Examined layout conventions, messaging style, and visual cues commonly used by widely recognized brands to understand what customer’s are used to seeing.

Eco-friendly & Sustainable Brands

Studied how smaller, environmentally focused brands communicate trust, transparency, and lifestyle alignment with their audience.

Insights from this research shaped my design approach: making the product approachable and familiar while highlighting its eco-friendly differentiators. This helped create a strategy that could resonate with both mainstream and environmentally conscious consumers, while helping the Nature Spin team come up with a completely tailored look and feel.

Design Decisions & Rationale

Mobile

Hierarchy and flexible layouts allowed users to consume content without feeling overwhelmed, making navigation intuitive.

Desktop

Strategic spacing breaks up visual clutter, giving the page a modern, calm feel compared to busier commercial sites.

Messaging

Balanced eco-friendly storytelling with cues from mainstream laundry brands to create approachable and credible communication.

Results & Reflections

Even though the design wasn’t ultimately implemented, the project offered valuable lessons.

Clarifying the User Journey

Designing mobile-first helped prioritize key content, highlighting the product’s sustainable features and value propositions upfront to ensure users engaged with the most important information immediately.

Visual Hierarchy & Readability

Thoughtful use of spacing and layout improved clarity and made the content easier to digest.

Researching both commercial and eco-friendly brands informed how to communicate sustainability in a way that felt approachable to users familiar with mainstream products.
